A warm welcome to my blog!
I’m Ortwin Oberhauser. You might know me as the initiator of Seology and thus the “World’s First SEOloge,” but I’m also a passionate explorer of the online marketing universe, always attuned to the latest trends and developments.
Growing up in Bregenz by the shores of Lake Constance, I was among the early pioneers of the internet era. Back in the 1990s, I was one of the first in Europe to craft websites using HTML and delve into the intricacies of HTTP and TCP/IP protocols. These early ventures honed my understanding of the digital world and paved the way for my future discoveries in Seology.
Seology is much more than just SEO – conventional search engine optimization. It is the comprehensive doctrine of the “Nature of Finding and Being Found in the World Wide Web.” The Seology I founded is the art of “Being Found,” a gentle yet effective way to gain attention in the digital realm. It’s a strategy that aims to be discovered by the right people and opportunities, without being intrusive. Seology is about being present and accessible, without being aggressive, and captivating those who seek or need what you have to offer.
While traditional SEO experts primarily optimize websites, online stores, and web platforms for better Google rankings, SEOloges with Seology broaden this scope.
Traditional SEO is most effective when there are already established search terms used by potential customers. However, for new, as yet unknown products or services, conventional SEO often reaches its limits. As a SEOloge, I dive deeper into the world of Being Found on the World Wide Web. With Seology, it’s possible to make even those offerings that no one is actively searching for accessible to a relevant audience. This is achieved by thinking creatively beyond the usual SEO methods.
Seology is an emerging field. The serious exploration of one of humanity’s most common activities—searching the World Wide Web—is a path seldom taken. Discussions about web searching are often limited to the context of search engine optimization, which can be a misleading term as SEOs optimize web projects, not the search engines themselves.
But my blog is more than just a showcase for Seology. As the co-founder of bobdo.com GmbH, an agency born from the union of Oberhauser.com, an internationally active SEO & Performance Marketing Google Partner agency, and Königsfreunde film production, I share insights and experiences on a wide range of topics such as search engine optimization, marketing, conversion optimization, social media, AI, and more, all through the lens of my work since the 1990s as a software developer, SEOloge, and online marketer.
Thus, this blog does not aim for high journalistic ambitions; it is simply a reflection of my daily engagements.
If you find an article inspiring, I would be thrilled if you shared it and followed me on platforms like Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, or Instagram.
Warm regards,
Ortwin Oberhauser
